What are your hours?

Monday - Saturday, 11am-7pm

When do new books come in?

Wednesday is new comic book day, and books are on the shelf when we open at 11.

Do you buy/trade old comics?

Yes. We are happy to look through your collection, and we buy and trade comics, toys, and collectables frequently.

When can I bring in comics to sell/trade?

Please call before bringing in comic books to ensure that Mike is available to look through your collection. The Christmas Season is hectic at the store, and we do not want to waste your time. Typically the best days to bring in comics are usually Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

We DO NOT evaluate comics on Wednesday (new comic book day).

How does your subscription program work?

Our subscription program is convenient and simple. If you sign up to read 10+ regular titles a month, we pull your books each week and keep them in a box for you. If you read 10-49 titles per month, you receive a 10% discount off every issue on your list! For 50-74 titles, you receive a 15% discount and with 75+ books per month, you receive 20% off all new comic books! You must pick up your books at least once per month to stay in good standing.

Captain's Comics and Toys charges only $10 for life to sign up for our subscriptions, and this one-time fee comes with a number of goodies. If you have any other subscription questions, feel free to contact us!

Do you special order?

Yes, we can special order many things for customers. Depending on the item and price, there may be a small deposit required. We have many options for finding hard-to-get items, so feel free to contact us if there is something special that you are looking for!

Where is the store?

From I-26: Take exit 216A over the Cosgrove Bridge. We are 1.5 miles on the left.
From Downtown: Take Highway 61/Ashley River Road in West Ashley. When Ashley River Road forks, take Hwy 171 towards Charlestown Landing/I-26. We are 2 miles ahead on the right.
From I-526: Take the Sam Rittenberg Blvd Exit and turn left onto Sam Rittenberg Blvd. We are 4 miles ahead on the right (about a block past the Piggly Wiggly and Publix)
